Do you have friends that you can chat with nonstop? An aimless chitchat about stuffs that only you and your friends could understand? It’s like as if you can forget your problems by just hanging out with your friends- girlfriends.
High School days. I miss those days when I’m with my so called ‘girlfriends’. Chatting at the hall way, those silly things we’ve done together like cutting classes for a movie/food trip, bullying some of our classmates, ticking our teachers off once in a while, have a tour at the principal’s office for some minor violations.
Well, you can’t seem to do those stuffs when you grow older, especially when you’re not in high school anymore.
Reminiscing the pasts. A lot happened and changed as days, months, years had passed, but then we’re still friends. Not to mention that we only see each others once or twice a year-that we were complete.
We’re not just friends, we’re like sisters.
Binx Club. That’s what our former classmates used to call us, ‘til now. It’s quite funny on how we come up with that kind of name.
It was August 21,2007. We’re only in 2nd year high school that time. As we’re spending our break time at our favorite hang out place of course- the merry go round, and eating our all time favorite snack- the Binx. It’s some kind of chocolate biscuit.
Since we were always eating “binx”, we decided to call our group as ‘Binx club’- a group of teen age girl who were fond of eating Binx. But it doesn’t end there. We find the word binx somewhat plain, so just to make it more like original we make it as:
B-eautiful
I-ntelligent
N-ice
Now, the letter ‘X’ was quite difficult to give meaning to. Just for fun, and that’s the only word that comes to our minds. Thus, the letter X would be:
X-rated
Sssshhh. Only the members knew the meaning of the word “BINX”. That’s how we become what they used to call as “Binx club”.
Binx Club consist of 5 members (including me of course) namely:
*I may not reveal the real names of the members here, since we are what they call as ‘private people’. We’re not fond of publicity.*
Curly Binx- the curly haired one of the group. My best friend. She’s known to be the ‘Accident Prone Area’ for being clumsy and all. But despite of being clumsy (peace best! v^__^) she is the most high spirited among us and most kind too, I think? But take note: She’s too lazy to take a bath.
Her favorite line: “Bakit ka pa maliligo kung wala ka naman pupuntahan”.
Cutie Binx- as what the name say, she’s cute alright! No doubt! No arguments! No violent reactions! I was fond of hugging her because uh? She’s so hug-gable. By the way, I used to call her ‘mama’. Long story. Anyways, she loves to cook, to eat and to sing! She’s even in a chorale- was that how you call a glee like club?.
Pretty Binx- Do I have to state the obvious? She is what I can say near to being a model. Definitely, she got the looks. But behind that looks, don’t you dare go out with her especially when it’s already dark ‘coz you’ll end up being followed by a group of boys. Scary! Now i learned my lesson: Don’t go out with her! That’s a big No-No!
Smiley Binx- Actually her name should be “funny binx” but for the sake of arguments- well, she argued, somewhat protested about her name- we make it ‘smiley’ instead of ‘funny’. She loves to laugh over silly things. In short ‘mababaw’, but behind her kababawan she can be serious too. By the way we were partners in crime when it comes to uhmm should i mention it here? nah.
Thinny binx- Yours truly. Seriously, what’s with the name? Anyways, I’m what they call as ‘patay bata na may sariling mundo’. Hey, I’m not autistic or something. I just love to write and read. It’s my hobby. Other than that, I can’t say much about myself because it will be biased! hahaha. You know, I may say something like : I was beyond beautiful and gorgeous that Mario Maurer was head over hills in love with me. So, before I say something unrealistic here, that’s it for now.
